What type of photographer are you?
I'm a Portrait Photographer based on the Sunshine Coast. My photography services include Weddings, Couples, Families and Newborns.
what style is your photography?
I would describe my style of photography as natural with a documentary feel to them. Capturing candid moments is something special (capturing you as you).
when will i RECEIVE my photos?
Generally you will receive your online gallery within
7-14 days for Families/Newborns and 6-8 weeks for Weddings.
what should i wear TO MY PORTRAIT SESSION?
The short answer is wear something that you feel comfortable in. I love clothing with warmer or cooler natural tones (try to match one or the other). Generally solid colours work best but can look great with pops of patterns or accessories with textures. The one thing I ask is avoid anything with logos or words on it (as these can be distracting in photos). Pinterest is a great spot to get inspiration for what to wear.
what is the best time OF DAY FOR HAVING PHOTOS?
For anything outdoor related I try to run my sessions in what we call Golden hour. I recommend starting around 1 hour before sunset. If I need to shoot at another time of day I will suggest locations with shade (as harsh light from the sun can create a lot of shadows and is not as flattering).
If I'm capturing newborns I prefer these sessions in the morning (as these are generally indoors).
how long does the session run for?
Outdoor Portrait Sessions - Approx 1 hour
Lifestyle Newborn - Approx 1 hour - 1.5 hours
Weddings - Packages can range from 1 hour to 9+ hours
where will my newborn session be held?
Lifestyle newborn sessions they are held in the comfort of your own home. I generally choose a few spots within your home (so you don't have to worry about the whole home being super tidy.
how do i lock in my wedding date?
After we have confirmed I'm available on your date, I then require my wedding contract/booking form to be completed with a $500 deposit/booking fee.
how do i book in my family/newborn session?
Once we have confirmed a date, I will send you a booking form and then soon after that has been completed I will send through an invoice for the session fee.
With your newborn session it's the same process as above, however we don't confirm a date until after bubs is born.
do you offer video?
I do offer what I call a highlights video (2-3 mins) as an addition to your wedding, couples, family or lifestyle newborn photography packages.
who owns copyright of the photos?
Copyright of the photos remain with the photographer (me). Your photos can be used on social media, sharing with family, and you can print as many as you like for personnel use etc. Photos can't be used for commercial use unless arranged prior.
